The more we resist , the more energy we are consuming or using . Infact , this is called energy wastage . When We resist , two things happen  : firstly , whatever has  happened has happened and secondly, we are unable to come to terms with it . The event has happened but we are struggling with ourselves ie our inability to accept it . To give you an example..You miss out on a  promotion ie the event has happened ..you haven't been promoted and you're shocked ..now that's the resistance you're facing from yourself . You'll tell yourself that you had the best of reports, your boss liked you , your colleagues liked you , you meet all the deadlines,  you came out with A1 performance but why the hell weren't you given the promotion.  Why!!!! Now you're at war with yourself . You start replaying all events of the past related to your performance and you can't see  how , where and why you could have missed out. You're struggling with your ownself . Now your energy flow is being wasted ...wasted because what's happened has happened and you can't undo it. You're resisting..
This flow of energy will begin to get restricted, a blockage will come up. You'll feel the lack, you'll feel let down, less energetic , less enthused,  more closed now.
This event has bogged you down and you're unable to digest it. Now this event will lead to the beginning of undigested emotions . This will further lead to cramps in your stomach , or loose motions or Irritable bowel syndrome.  The stress you're holding, the energy that's tied up inside needs to be released. The more you'll think of this event or failed promotion , the more let down you'll feel,  less energetic, heaviness in the body, acidity,  burning in the stomach, vomity feeling, lot of anger, frustration , rejection, dejection etc etc.
Resistance and rejection happens when things don't go your way, yes YOUR WAY ie things didn't happen according to your perception or the way you have conceived it .So your failed perception will leave an indelible impression on your mind and heart. This will leave an imprint on your psyche which will further cause you stress,  tension,  trauma ... This imprint over the time will become a pattern when you'll keep resisting and persisting over a traumatic event.
The more we let them harbour in this us , the more clingy we become and the more clingy we become the more we  invite disease in our lives . Disease is nothing but your being at dis- ease with your ownself . So therefore whenever you're resisting , you're letting that event or trauma persist . Your mind will keep playing that event like a tape recorder telling you " hey you could have done this better or that better.." . You'll start putting your energy on that failed scenario , traumatizing yourself further.
So let go, don't cling. Insist on your wellness and wellbeing . Nothing is more important than YOU...Become aware that YOU matter and so does your well being. Start accepting,  and begin surrendering. Surrendering doesn't mean that you're weak . It's pure acceptance that you acknowledge that things were not meant to happen now and that the Universe knows what's the best for you.
